Vacation

One of my stated purposes with this blog was to post photos from time to time. I haven't done much of that, mostly because I haven't had time to take any. This has been especially frustrating because I bought a new digital slr a year ago and haven't had the opportunity to really get familiar with it. But a recent vacation gave me opportunity to play with it - almost to my heart's content. Hope you enjoy!

If you click on the slide show, it will take you to my google photos where you can see them much larger.

Now, isn't this better than sitting you all down in my living room and putting you to sleep with a slide show? :)

I enjoyed the show, Walt. Thanks! I would, actually, like it better in person because then you can talk about some of them. What camera do you have?

Alan, you're either a fellow photo geek or a glutton for punishment :)

It's a Nikon D70s, which I bought moments (it seems) before Nikon announced the D80. Oh well, I probably couldn't have afforded it.

I bought the Nikon 18-200 VR zoom, and have mixed feelings about it. Most of the photos would not look nearly as good if it hadn't been for Nikon's Capture NX software.

A few of the photos were taken with my Canon G3 Powershot - some of my favorites from the trip, in fact. If you go to my Flickr site (listed on the links) you can see which cameras were used for which photos.

I used the Canon when we went to Greece a few years ago, and I got fantastic results from it (also on my flickr site).
